New Dialogue Series for Security Concerns

 

Honolulu, June 20, 2017:  Soft Power Solutions (SPS) and International Lawyers Forum (IL Forum) of Woodland Hills, CA in cooperation with The Pacific Forum (PACFORUM) CSIS launched The 38th Parallel Dialogue Series Addressing Security Concerns in the Korean Peninsula and the Asia-Pacific Region.  This new series of robust dialogues, symposia and panel discussions will cover the interrelation of political, economic and military issues with a focus on the Korean Peninsula and how the dynamics in that area affect the Asia Pacific region and the world.

 

Soft Power Solutions of Manassas, VA, a small business providing dynamic, effective solutions to clients across the globe is owned by the Hawaii Pacific Foundation for Soft Power Solutions (HPFSPS), a Native Hawaiian Organization (NHO), incorporated in the State of Hawaii.

International Lawyers Forum, Inc. of Woodland Hills, CA, founded by Sudeok Jang Esq., has conducted broad cultural and political dialogues in South Korea on related issues and concerns.

The first event under this new initiative was a panel discussion titled “Politics and Fallout in the Post-Park Era”.  It was held on June 23, 2017 at the Waialae Country Club in Honolulu. The event’s keynote address was delivered by the President of PACFORUM CSIS, Mr. Ralph Cossa.  The panel featured members from South Korea and the US including Mihong Jeong, CEO of TNJ TV, Korea; Sudeok Jang, Esq., ILForum; Pyung Hwan Huh, Retired General, ROK Army; Hijae Byun, CEO, Media Watch TV; M. Jan Akre, Esq., Anderson & Anderson PC, California; Claire Rhee, Esq., California; and Casey Ilsun Kim, Professor of Economics, Handong University, Korea;  Allan Millett, Ph. D., History Department, Hawaii Pacific University (HPU); Carl Schuster, Department of History and International Studies, HPU; and Seung-Kyun Ko, Ph. D., Department of History and International Studies, HPU.
