Our NHO

The Hawaii Pacific Foundation

Our Non-Profit Owner

The Hawaii Pacific Foundation (HPF) is a Native Hawaiian Organization (NHO) incorporated in the State of Hawaii.  It is a non-profit public charity under 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.  HPF shares minority ownership of Soft Power Solutions, LLC (SPS) with its Service-Disabled Veteran majority owners.  As a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), SPS offers significant contracting efficiencies, defined by law and regulation, to help the Department of Defense (DoD) and other federal agencies resolve urgent and dynamic requirements.

SPS supports HPF's mission through its profit share, which, in turn, supports and funds community efforts. For HPF, those efforts are Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) youth education programs, societal enhancement technologies, and soft power outreach.   In many cases, the HPF's activities mutually benefit SPS's government or commercial customers and community stakeholders by enhancing common goals and missions. For instance, the HPF recently provided funds to Hawaii's National Guard Youth Challenge Academy STEAM program, enhancing the U.S. National Guard's overall community resilience goals.  It is a collaborative way of giving back.
